More than 300 people filled a Rancho Bernardo church Thursday night to cheer and chide San Diego officials for their handling of the October wildfires and their efforts to streamline the recovery and rebuilding process.

I live in the San Gabriel Valley and I'm so thankful that we never get those kind of fires here. My condolences goes out to all those families who lost everything they had. I really feel for you. Keep your heads up.
I live in Rancho Bernardo. Four years ago I thought the same thing. Last Monday my house was destroyed in the fire. No one living in So Cal is immune from firestorms.
Yeah, you're right. We've never had to deal with firestorms, but that's not to say that it'll never happen. I'm really sorry for your loss. I hope things work out for the best. Stay strong.
